What a five star record actually means

Twenty-five reviews is not a huge number and I would not pretend otherwise. Some of the larger operations on the Wirral have well over a thousand. What matters is that not one of mine sits below five stars, across 28 years of trading, and every one came from a customer who went and wrote it without being chased.

Read through them and the same three words keep coming back: reliable, professional, and reasonably priced. That is not an accident and it is not a marketing line. It is what happens when the person who quotes the car is the person who cleans it, and when you turn up on the day you said you would.

Why I only publish reviews you can verify

Every quote on this page is copied word for word from my Google Business Profile, where anyone can go and check it. There are no invented testimonials, no first names attached to made-up praise, and nothing bought from anywhere. If a quote appears here, you can find it on Google.

Worth knowing, because valeting attracts a fair amount of the opposite. If a company shows glowing testimonials on its own website with no way to trace any of them, treat that the way you would treat any other claim nobody can check.

The guarantee behind the rating

You look over the car before you pay. If any part of it is not to the standard we agreed, I put it right at no extra cost, there and then where possible. That has been the arrangement since 1998 and it is the reason the rating has held. It does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 either.

Most of the work still comes by word of mouth

The business has grown almost entirely on customers telling other customers. A good share of my regulars have been with me for years and now keep a standing maintenance slot, and most new enquiries open with somebody at work or down the road having recommended me. That is the review system that actually matters to a business this size. Google is simply where it became visible.
